Charlie Fox's Pizzeria & Eatery

Dining room wasn't clean, all tables were dirty and had to ask someone to clean them and took a long time to get someone to wait on us, Could understand but dining room just opened and plenty of staff standing around.. and no sense of urgency to clean or service guests.. However the food was rather good. We had the thin crust pizza & a salad. Loved the fresh mozzarella, artichokes in the salad.

Clearly CF could care less about me as a customer… this was strike 3 over the last 6 weeks or so… we’ve tried to oder by phone pizzas for delivery only to be placed on “lost hold” or worse “Charlie fox hold”click. Today we experienced both. Obviously, CF must be doing so well that Customer Service is not important. Congrats. Btw, we ordered from another outfit nearby and that Pizza was absolutely fantastic and would be hard to beat.

This will be the last time ordering from this pizza place. We have been ordering from here for 20 years and there prices online are always different when ordering over the phone, and there is always a problem when trying to order online and issues with their coupons. On top of these issues, the pizza has also severely went down in quality over time and doesn’t warrant a $35 price tag for an XL sausage and mushroom pizza. This place used to be the best and we only order here anymore because its so close. There are plenty of other places and will be going elsewhere from now on.

Been to Charlie Fox's other locations. never to St. Charles. Pizza a excellent as always. While I didn't have any, beer selection was reasonable. More craft beer would have been better. Service was excellent, friendly, and prompt. Atmosphere was well lit. AC was on max. A couple of TV. But morning to really give it charm or noteworthy. Come for the pizza and service... I am sure i will

So, giving 5 stars for what it is. It’s mainly a quick take-out joint with a small dining room for a few families or teens to come sit and dine-in. It’s right by Otter Cove, so a convenient place to stop by after a swim. They are understaffed in the dining room which was a bit of an annoyance but overall for what it is, a pizza pick-up place, they served what I needed which was a quick bite with my kid and food to take home. We had a thin crust pizza, nice and crisp, lots of cheese and pepperoni, no complaints. Came out piping hot and fresh already on the to-go box bc the young lady at the front helped with the order which worked out well. We also tried a large order or chicken wings in two flavors. The bbq is really flavorful. The chipotle honey was a step up in spiciness but side by side less delicious than the bbq. Don’t be fooled by the light look of the sauces, they are like a glaze but packed in flavor. Their meatball sandwich is hefty. Really flavorful. We will be getting that again. It has the real mozzarella balls melted on. While we were there, there was a mix of people-a table filled with a family-mom, dad, adult and teen kids, maybe a grandparent. There was a table with a senior citizen couple, then a group of teens came and filled up three tables, and a 60 something little group even had a cake and was celebrating a bday. It was a sweet family hang out place with a mix of low and high tables to accommodate different needs and a to-go counter for pick-up.
